Princeton, NJ – January 31, 2020 – The Interclub Council (ICC) is excited to announce updates to Street Week for February 2020. As was the case for the great strides made last year to encourage engagement across the club system from prospective members, we hope these changes will further motivate students to explore their options and enhance the appeal and accessibility of the club system.
Street Week 2020 will offer the following changes from 2019, explained in detail below:
- A new Group Sign In feature, allowing students to enter open clubs with groups of friends
- A $200 rebate from Princeton University will be provided to all sophomore students who join a club by February 21st.
The Group Sign In feature available on the Street Week website will allow students ranking an open club as their first choice to enter a group name and sign in along with their friends as part of that group.
Princeton University is providing a $200 rebate to all sophomore students who join a club by February 21st. As explained on the Campus Dining website, second-year students who join eating clubs will receive a $200 rebate in the spring semester. Therefore, Street Week 2020 will grant all sophomore students additional funds that can be applied directly to sophomore spring dues, resulting in a significant reduction of sophomore membership costs.
The changes above are the result of great collaborative efforts between the Interclub Council, Graduate Interclub Council, ODUS, and other campus partners. We are very excited about the progress these initiatives reflect towards our constant goal of improving accessibility, inclusivity, and safety in Princeton’s eating club system. The 2020 Street Week website went live on Sunday, January 19, 2020 and sophomores and juniors can register at icc.princeton.edu. The Interclub Council looks forward to meeting you all and welcoming you for visitations to the eating clubs when Street Week starts on February 2, 2020! We encourage you to visit many clubs to explore the variety of options the Street offers.
