Join an Eating Club!
The ICC website will open for sophomore and juniors to register to join a club on Sunday, January 29, 2017.
The ICC Admissions Site will open for sophomores and juniors who are interested in joining an eating club on Sunday, January 29th. You must register during the week beginning January 29th with your Princeton netID to begin the process of joining an eating club. The overall process and timeline for joining a club is managed by the www.icc.princeton.edu website, but each club has a unique admissions process. Please visit each club’s page on this website to learn more. Below is an outline of the overall timeline for joining open (“sign-in”) clubs or selective (“bicker”) clubs. For questions, contact email@example.com.
When the ICC Admissions Website opens on January 29th, you can choose to enter the first-round of “sign-ins” for the open clubs if you know you want to join a particular open club. Open clubs are different from selective clubs (who offer “bicker”) in that you are not required to visit their club at a particular date or time in order to be accepted – you just register on the ICC website. An open club may fill up during the first-round of sign-ins, so if you who know you want to join a particular club, sign up for the open club of your choice on Sunday, January 29th. Open clubs accept members on a first-come, first-served basis based on who registered first, or using a lottery system if they have more applicants than spaces available. For open clubs that do not fill up during the first round of sign-ins, a second round of sign-ins is offered in conjunction with the selective club membership events.
When the ICC Admissions Website opens on January 29th, you can begin the process of joining a selective club. Register on the ICC Admissions Website and indicate which selective club(s) you are interested in joining. All of the selective clubs participate in a multi-club selection process that allows you to “bicker” up to two selective clubs during bicker week. Selective clubs require you to attend membership events (known as “bicker” events) on 3 consecutive days: Sunday afternoon February 5th, Monday evening February 6th, and Tuesday evening February 7th. When you register on the ICC Website to join a selective club, you’ll receive a schedule of when you should visit the club(s) you’ve selected. You may change your selective club choices on the ICC Website until the evening of Sunday February 5th.
First Round of Open Club “Sign-Ins” Closes on Saturday, February 4th
If you want to participate in the first-round of sign-ins for an open club, you must register by noon on Saturday, February 4th. The club will reach out to you directly to confirm your membership. You can also log into the ICC Website at 3pm on February 4th to confirm your admission to the open club of your choice. Open clubs celebrate with first round new members on Sunday, February 5th. If you did not get into the club you selected because it filled up, you can return to the ICC website and select another open club, or participate in the selective club process if you make your new selections by midnight on Sunday, February 5th.
Selective Club Membership “Bicker” Begins on Sunday, February 5th
If you register to “bicker” at one or two selective clubs, bicker events will be held on 3 consecutive days: Sunday afternoon February 5th, Monday evening February 6th, and Tuesday evening February 7th. When you register on the ICC Website, you will receive your bicker schedule. You can log back into the ICC Website if you need to check it. When you participate in bicker, each club will give you more information about their specific process. Be sure to attend all of your scheduled visitations. You can sign up to bicker at a selective club until midnight on Sunday, February 5th, but since visitations begin that Sunday, it is recommended that you sign up by Saturday, February 4th.
Ranking Your Club Preferences
You must rank your club preferences whether you are considering an open or a selective club.
Rank your clubs between Tuesday, February 7th at 10pm and Wednesday, February 8th at 5pm.
If you selected more than one club, you must log into the ICC Website between Tuesday, February 7th at 10pm and Wednesday, February 8th at 5pm to rank your club preferences. If you do not log into the ICC Admissions Site and rank your clubs by February 8th at 5pm, the ICC Admissions Site will automatically rank your club choices with any selective club options first, and then a randomized ordering of any additional open club options you’ve selected.
The Final Results of Club Admissions will be posted on the ICC Website on Friday, February 10th at 9am
Club officers will be reaching out to their new members on Friday, February 10th. You can also log into the ICC Website on Friday morning at 9am to find out the final results of your club admission. Selective clubs have “pickups” for new members on Friday, February 10th. Each club has their own process. Both open clubs and selective clubs will celebrate with new members on Saturday, February 11th.
For more information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
The ICC Website will remain open until Saturday, February 18th for Open Clubs that are still accepting members.
If you have not been admitted to an open or selective club, you can still join any open club that is accepting members, on a first-come, first-served rolling admissions basis through the ICC Admissions Site. The ICC Website will remain open until noon on Saturday, February 18th and you can log in any time up until then and select an open club to join. After that time, all inquiries about club membership for selective and open clubs should be directed to undergraduate club presidents directly. You’ll find their contact information on the individual club page on this website.
